Our Platform
Affordable Property Over Luxury Apartments
Time and time again we see developers promise a mixed-use development with retail space, get it approved by council, and then deliver only expensive apartments. It’s a successful strategy that goes unchecked and unchallenged. We need a middle ground of housing density and ownability, projects like: multi-family homes, condos, or townhomes. Kennesaw needs to prioritize quality-constructed homes that offer diversity in our housing market and our residents the opportunity to own.

Homeowner Rights
Working alongside Planning and Zoning as well as getting community feedback from a series of town hall style events, we as a city have taken all comments into account and are near a final vote that would allow Accessory Dwelling Units. We have also created a permitting process for those interested in using their homes as short-term rentals that protects the owner, the renter, and neighboring properties.

Third Spaces and Downtown
Before getting elected I spoke of implementing a small business tax credit for the first years of operations to help new businesses succeed and create more third spaces, or places of socialization outside the home and work. Once elected and speaking with our legal team, due to Georgia Preemption law, my proposed tax credit would be prevented by the state. However during my time on council I've proudly approved two projects that would help create the effect by developing buildings that offer business space and that plan to offer socialization and event opportunities. The location of these buildings will be directly on our Main Street and just off it on Keene Street.

Energy Independence
Investing in newer and cleaner energies not only allows individuals and our governments to save money on their bills and taxes, but it also creates a more sustainable and clean environment. All government buildings should run on renewable energies and pass those savings onto residents. Georgia Preemption law again faltered my attempt of a tax credit for households investing in renewable energies, but the fight of equipping our facilities with cost saving equipment is still underway.

Law Enforcement
Our police should be given the best training possible with a focus on de-escalation with a modern faciality that allows them to better protect our city and make sure they get home safe. This is why I was proud to approve the new public safety facility that will give them a proper centralized base compared to the wing of City Hall and roughly 70 year old building that was currently used. Equipped with a real-time crime center, community room, fitness center, VR training room, and K9 center this investment offers the essentials needed for our staff.
Transparency
We pick and choose what ordinances are applied to businesses and have created a system where some are given special treatment while others have told me they feel almost attacked. If we have an ordinance we either apply it to everyone, or apply it to no one, we don’t get to pick and choose. Cultivating a fair and transparent reputation will make Kennesaw a more attractive place to start a new business.
